President Bush gave his speech to keep the American peole from panicing. He tells them that the American troops in iraq are struggling . He also says that the outcome in Iraq can effect the United States of America. His speech was more of a recap of his original speech to send troop to Iraq. He covers speech with confusing yet puesuasive words. His message was unclear and useless.
Some of his quotes tried to convince the American people that war was the right way to go."The new outline tonight will change America's course in Iraq, and help succeed in the fight againest terror".(paragraph 1). By saying that, he trying to convince the Americans that the war will be nessesary. His reason of war was pointless, he went to take down Saddaam Husaun and take oil. Now that Saddaam is dead, what are we still doing there?
In his speech president Bush does not convince me into going to with wrong people. He does not support his idea with good reasons. Rather than have the vote of the american people, he tries to convince people that iraq is a bad place with bad people. Many people don't agree and with good reason, its ruined our country and it has taken a lot of money from our government.
